Our Curriculum
Our Children's Lighthouse graduates are more advanced than their peers when they enter Kindergarten and First Grade because they have learned to read, write and have a command of number concepts.
We use the nationally accredited A Beka Book Curriculum with children aged two and older. A Beka is an excellent phonics-based curriculum that provides children with an easy and fun way to learn to read.
A Beka starts with number recognition followed by letter recognition and then builds on vowel and consonant differentiation. Learn more about the curriculum in the Six Easy Steps to Reading.

The A Beka curriculum also focuses on a valueof the week that is promoted throughout the school. Values such as sharing, friendship and honesty are all taught and reinforced throughout the year.
