Our Curriculum
Our Children's Lighthouse graduates are more advanced than their peers when they enter Kindergarten and First Grade because they have learned to read, write and have a command of number concepts.
We use the nationally accredited A Beka Book Curriculum with children aged two and older. A Beka is an excellent phonics-based curriculum that provides children with an easy and fun way to learn to read.
A Beka starts with number recognition followed by letter recognition and then builds on vowel and consonant differentiation. Learn more about the curriculum in the Six Easy Steps to Reading.

The A Beka curriculum also focuses on a value of the week that's promoted throughout the school. Values such as sharing, friendship and honesty are all taught and reinforced throughout the year.
For your convenience, we have listed the Values of the Week here or on the Calendar of Events Page.
